Melee weapons — including knives — have not been shown in Grand Theft Auto VI's trailers; Rockstar's own weapons coverage notes that no bats, knives, or hand-to-hand strikes appear in the cinematics released so far. The knife is listed here as a franchise-standard category, not a confirmed GTA 6 weapon: every Grand Theft Auto ships with melee options (knife, bat, machete, and more in GTA V), so a knife is very likely to return, but that remains an expectation. Rockstar has disclosed nothing about melee combat, stealth takedowns, or weapon variety for GTA 6. Given the Leonida setting's emphasis on crime and the close-quarters robbery beats in the trailers, functional melee weapons are a reasonable bet, but no specific melee item has appeared in marketing.
