GTA 6 Price: Confirmed Editions and Pricing

Rockstar Games confirmed Grand Theft Auto VI’s price on June 25, 2026, when it opened pre-orders: the Standard Edition is $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition is $99.99, both on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. That settles the long-running “$69.99 vs $79.99” debate — GTA 6 ships its standard game at the higher $79.99 tier.

Confirmed GTA 6 prices (US MSRP)

EditionPrice (USD)What you get
Standard$79.99The complete base game — full story, full map, all core content
Ultimate$99.99Everything in Standard plus in-game bonus content (see below)
Ultimate Edition UpgradeSold separatelyLets Standard owners upgrade to Ultimate later

Both editions contain the same game — identical story, map size, and release date. The difference is bonus content, not the campaign.

What the Ultimate Edition adds

For the extra $20, the Ultimate Edition bundles a set of in-game extras threaded through Jason and Lucia’s story:

  • Six bonus vehicles and four bonus weapons
  • Five exclusive shops and one exclusive story mission
  • A car-restoration activity and a second garage
  • Cosmetic sets for both Jason and Lucia

Because Standard owners can buy the Ultimate Edition Upgrade separately at any time, the $99.99 is not a now-or-never decision. A full breakdown lives on the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition page.

Pre-order bonus (both editions)

Every pre-order — and any purchase made before November 20, 2026 — includes the Vintage Vice City Pack: a 1955 Vapid Stanier and matching garage, 1980s throwback outfits and hairstyles, and a gun skin patterned after Tommy Vercetti’s palm-tree shirt. Digital pre-orders also receive one free month of GTA+.

International pricing

The figures above are Rockstar’s confirmed US dollar MSRP. Regional prices are set per storefront (PlayStation Store, Xbox Store) and scale up from the US anchor; only the US $79.99 / $99.99 numbers are officially confirmed here, so check your local storefront for the exact regional charge. Note the $79.99 anchor is higher than the $69.99 that Take-Two held across the NBA 2K catalogue since 2020 — GTA 6 is one of the publisher’s first titles at the newer premium standard.

Where to buy

Pre-orders have been live since June 25, 2026, across:

  • PlayStation Store — PS5
  • Xbox / Microsoft StoreXbox Series X|S
  • Rockstar Store — rockstargames.com
  • Major retailers (Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, and PAL-region equivalents) — physical boxes ship with a download code; the game itself is digital
