Take-Two Interactive, the parent publisher of Rockstar Games, is publicly projecting record-breaking revenue tied to Grand Theft Auto VI’s release, according to a new report from PC Gamer. Executive statements suggest the company remains firmly committed to the title’s announced launch window — and is willing to put that commitment in front of investors in writing.

The confidence comes from the top. Take-Two leadership has repeatedly used investor communications to frame GTA 6 as a generational financial event for the publisher. PC Gamer notes that the company’s outlook now openly anticipates the title outperforming any previous entry in the series — a franchise whose 2013 instalment, Grand Theft Auto V, has shipped more than 215 million units lifetime and remains one of the best-selling games in history.

For Rockstar, the timing matters. The studio released the second Grand Theft Auto VI trailer on May 6, 2025, expanding the view of Leonida and the supporting cast around protagonists Jason and Lucia. Since then, Take-Two has used each quarterly earnings call to reaffirm the planned release window, and management has avoided the kind of softening language that typically precedes a delay.

Industry watchers tend to read corporate revenue guidance as one of the cleanest signals that a release timeline is holding. When a publicly traded publisher tells investors to expect a specific fiscal-year revenue spike, analysts and regulators treat that as a forward-looking commitment — and last-minute schedule changes become commercially expensive. Take-Two’s repeated, explicit revenue framing therefore reads as a strong implicit confirmation that the current GTA 6 release window is the real one.

What’s next: the next Take-Two earnings call will be the next checkpoint, with analysts likely to press for more granular figures on pre-orders, marketing spend, and day-one shipment expectations. Any further Rockstar Newswire post — particularly around pre-orders, collector’s editions, or platform-specific details — would also be consistent with a publisher locking in the launch rather than preparing the ground for a slip.
