GTA 6 Pre-Order Leak Points to November 2026 Release

Eurogamer reports leaked retailer pre-order listings for Grand Theft Auto VI point to a November 2026 launch, lining up with Rockstar's stated second-half target.

Eurogamer has reported that newly surfaced pre-order listings for Grand Theft Auto VI point to a firm November 2026 launch window, with retailer back-end data and storefront placeholders lining up against Rockstar Games’ previously communicated second-half target. The leak, surfaced through European retail channels, is the strongest signal to date that the sequel’s release window is locked.

What the leak shows

According to Eurogamer’s report, multiple retailers briefly exposed November 2026 release dates in product database entries before the listings were pulled or genericised. The dates match the fiscal window publisher Take-Two Interactive has repeatedly framed in earnings calls — second half of calendar 2026, ahead of the company’s fiscal year ending March 2027.

Rockstar Games has not commented on the listings, and the studio’s standard practice is to confirm release dates only via the official Newswire and a dedicated trailer. Eurogamer notes that the retailer dates are consistent across multiple regions, which historically has been a reliable indicator that a publisher-set street date is filtering through distributor pipelines.

Context: a long road to a date

Grand Theft Auto VI was first formally announced in February 2022, with the first trailer arriving in December 2023 and a second trailer following in May 2025. The release window has moved twice on record — from an initial 2025 target, to a spring 2026 slot, and most recently to “second half of 2026” after Rockstar’s May 2025 statement.

A November launch would place the game in Take-Two’s fiscal Q3, the publisher’s traditional holiday window and the same slot that hosted Red Dead Redemption 2’s October 2018 release. It also clears the typical pre-holiday marketing runway — roughly four to five months from now — that Rockstar has used for every major franchise launch since GTA V.

What’s next

If the leak is accurate, the next step is a formal Rockstar Newswire announcement confirming the date, typically paired with pre-order availability and a third trailer. Industry watchers will look to Take-Two’s next earnings call and any Rockstar social posts as the immediate watchable beats. Pre-order pages on PlayStation Store, Xbox, and major retailers usually go live within days of an official date confirmation, so any listing changes in the coming weeks will be telling.

Until Rockstar Games itself confirms, the November 2026 date remains a reported leak rather than an official commitment — but it is the most credible signal the game’s date has produced since the second trailer dropped a year ago.
